Ask any experienced divorce attorney and they will tell you that it is extremely rare that divorcing couples agree on everything.  Due to the unpredictable nature of any legal proceeding, I personally will not represent a party for a flat fee.  However, I have agreed with clients to an overall target cost for their case.  If the parties are truly in agreement, we stay within this cost.  If it starts to look like we will exceed the target cost, then I consult with the client to address the issue.
